Aava & Bang and Bermuda merge

3J Partners acted as financial advisor to Aava & Bang
in an transaction in which Marketing Agency Aava & Bang merged with Marketing Agency Bermuda Oy.

Aava & Bang and Bermuda aim to build the best marketing agency in Finland for their clients. At the same time, companies share ambitious goals for employee experience, as they want to be among the best places to work in Europe by 2024. Common goals, a similar culture and shared values also played an important role in the background of the merger.

With the merger, the company’s service offering combines deep customer and employee understanding, creative design, communication and strong digital expertise. B2B marketing and vibrant internal communication are at the core of the company’s operations.

“Aava & Bang has had a clear strategy that has been guided by two growth directions. One has been organic growth and the other option has been M&A, which we have openly communicated”, explains Vilja Laaksonen, CEO of Aava & Bang.

“We set out to find out with whom the story could be shared, and in the case of Bermuda, all the pieces fell into place”, adds Timo Koponen, partner in charge of mergers and acquisitions at Aava & Bang.

The transaction increases Aava & Bang’s turnover to approximately EUR 6 million and grows the number of employees to approximately 80 people in three different locations in Helsinki, Jyväskylä and Tampere.

Marketing agency Aava & Bang has been in operation since 2003 and specializes in sustainable growth marketing for B2B customers. They indicate companies employing more than 100 people as their main customers.

Prior to the merger with Marketing Agency Bermuda Oy, Aava & Bang has employed 60 experts in marketing, communications, management, recruitment and coaching. Aava & Bang has been awarded several times in the Great Place to Work competition in the category of small companies.
