KPK Yhtiöt Oyj acquires Suomalainen Lehtipaino Oy
3J Partners acted as a financial advisor to The Buyer in a share transaction in which Finnish media group KPK Yhtiöt Oyj has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Suomalainen Lehtipaino Oy (SLP). SLP is a Kajaani- based family company, with Tenna Talvi-Pietarila as the preceding majority owner. SLP’s main business lines are publishing, press and distribution with main markets in Kainuu and Lappi areas. The transaction is expected to close in the beginning of March.
With the transaction, KPK Yhtiöt Oyj becomes Finland’s second largest local media company and publishes 16 local newspapers, eight city newspapers, two county newspapers and individual travel magazines.
KPK Yhtiöt Oyj will increase its annual revenue to about €45 million and employ around 420 employees.
